I am a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist licensed in the state of Florida.   In addition to my clinical practice, I often serve as a forensic examiner, consultant, and expert witness in court-related cases.  I am also an educator and provide training for a variety of disciplines on a national level.   I have worked in the child abuse field since 1982 and am honored to have received national recognition for my work in this area.

 

My Forensic (Court-Related) Specializations include:

  • Performing psychological examinations in personal injury cases, child custody cases and dependency cases
  • Serving as a consultant to attorneys in personal injury cases, criminal cases,  family court cases; and dependency cases
  • Serving as an expert witness
  • Performing forensic (investigative) interviews of child witnesses who are as young as three years old

  • The evaluation and treatment of sexually abused children and their families

       Education and Training Provided by Dr. Reed:   

  • Since 1993, I have served on the faculty of Nova Southeastern University's doctoral psychology program where I teach courses relating to the evaluation of known and suspected victims of child sexual abuse
  • Since 1991, I have been providing judicial training pertaining to the adjudication of child sexual abuse cases and I have served on the faculty of the Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies
  • I have also provided training to attorneys, guardians ad litem and attorneys ad litem regarding various aspects of child sexual abuse
  • I provide training on a national level to child abuse investigators including law enforcement officers (non-military and military), child protective investigators, forensic interviewers, child protection team personnel and child advocacy centers
